COURSE CONTENTBoth courses are from what we call "a postmodern perspective." For us, postmodernism is the body of thought which originated with the Continental Philosophers in 1960s and questioned many of the generally accepted modern positivist beliefs that have dominated our thinking since the rise of the Logical Positivism in the early 20th Century. Because Library and Information Science (LIS) privileges quantitative, positivist approaches, it is very interesting to teach this way.
