GRANT FAMILY HISTORY

We are quite interested in Grant Family's Genealogy. Anita Steele of Whitehorse, Yukon, has done a lot of research on the part of the family Mike belongs to. It appears that the Grants came from Scotland before the Battle of the Plains of Abraham. They were explorers and traders.

FORT HALL

In the 1800s, Richard Grant was the Factor of Fort Hall, a Hudson's Bay Trading Post in Idaho.

GRANT-KOHRS RANCH

Richard's son Johnny Grant was the original founder of the Grant Kohrs Ranch in Deer Lodge, Montana.

The Grant Kohrs Ranch is now American National Monument.
